Are you out of alignment?
2 Peter 3:17
“You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.”
My car is out of alignment, which apparently caused my tires to wear out and need to be replaced. (oh goody!)
And so it is with us, if we are out of alignment (out of balance)…we will wear out. Just like the car, we will pull in a certain direction when we are out of balance. We may tend to steer in a certain direction automatically. Whether we are too focused on work, and then we naturally gravitate towards working, and our life continues to lean that way. Or maybe if we’re too focused on self, our life leans in that direction. Our mantra becomes me, myself and I.
Meanwhile, other parts of our life end up getting neglected. Whether the result is bald spots on our tires…or worse yet, bald spots on our head from the stress of it all…your car (and you) need a tune up. Don’t put it off, you could be headed for a crash and burn if you’re not careful!
Be honest with yourself and write down a typical day. Then measure that up with scripture to see if you are out of alignment, always being pulled in a certain direction which is out of balance. Ask Him to help you realign your spiritual tires to get you back on track and help you travel many more miles down the road that He has for you.
Happy travels! :)
