Which one are you?

Are you the real deal or just the cheaper generic brand?
The genuine version or the imitation?
The name brand or the knock off?

On the surface, people may not know or recognize the difference.
But sprinkle on a little 'conflict' and turn up the heat, and what starts simmering eventually turns into a boil and you'll find out real soon what's cookin'!

Difficulty can become the great 'revealer' -- exposing the real you, the you on the inside.  The you that 'cleans up well', that you can dress real nice and take it to church.

 Ya, THAT you!

Covering up the messy flaws, not exposing the scars.  Camouflaging the broken parts.

Lets face it, the generic brands, the imitations and the knock offs are clearly less costly, but having an authentic faith is more valuable -- and comes at a higher cost.  It cost Christ His very life.  He died a very costly death, so that we would have life.  Fortunately He offers this as a free gift to us, but it cost Him everything.

Don't settle for the counterfeits being offered to us daily...just like the counterfeit dollar bill --
when held up to the light, you soon discover it is worthless and has absolutely no value!  And when your life is held up to the light...the light of God's Word, it too exposes the authentic from the counterfeit.  Even though something appears cheaper, in reality the price tag is too high...
it could cost you your life!

1 Peter 1:7

"These trials will show that your faith is genuine.  It is being tested as fire tests and purifies
gold -- though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.  So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."
