Feeling overwhelmed for some reason today.
Thinking of the things that pile,
and not nearly able to complete the task quick enough to sigh that oh so sweet sigh of satisfaction.
You hit delete on a bunch of emails,
and they trickle in faster than you can read them.
The clean folded laundry gets put away,
as the hamper fills up behind you.
It sometimes feels like a race in slow motion ---
your feet in quick sand.
How did that sink fill up again?
Didn't I just clean out that fridge?
Does the dog really need to go out again?
If repetition is truly the 'Mother of Learning'...
then I must be getting an "A" in something!
In all this 'repeating' we all get to do,
are we also doing the 'learning'?
And if so, what?
I think of my God who did a lot of repeating too.
He said a lot of things over and over and over.
What is the most repeated command in the Bible?
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you."
Guess how many 'Fear Nots' are in the Bible?
One for every day of the week, how perfect! (Boy does He know us!)
In my research I also heard 366, 1 for leap year. (I know, right?!)
Regardless, (because I don't have the time to count them right now), if it was only one time that should be enough, right?
But somehow God in all of His wisdom knew we would need the 'repeating'...
cuz we forget. A LOT!
So whenever I'm feeling like all I'm doing is a lot of repetition...
maybe I'll be reminded of those 2 sacred words repeated so much...
